John Jenkins & Son won a contract to manufacture, supply and erect all structural steel for a large house extension in Dunblane, Stirlingshire. This job involved a large amount of structural steelwork which would provide the frame to the whole extension.
Upon winning the contract, we liaised with the architects and engineers to ensure we met the correct timescales and that all drawings were supplied.
The work involved the manufacture of Universal Beams, Universal Columns for the main structure and the creation of an A-frame with Square Hollow Section support posts. Additionally, the whole structure required base, shelf and head plates which were all welded in our workshop ready to be erected on site.
Our skilled staff erected the ground floor structure, working closely with the Project Manager, which allowed the builders to carry on with various works. We then erected the first floor and A-frame with the assistance of a crane.
At each critical stage, our Manager was on site to supervise and liaise with the Project Manager. Once the full structure was complete, our management team made a site visit to ensure our client was fully satisfied.
The project is currently ongoing and we will be manufacturing a glass balcony in due course.
